Legal Notice Election of Commissioners
Fishers Island Waste Management District December 12, 2017
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Election of the Fishers Island Waste Management District will take place on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 between the hours of 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm, at Fishers Island Fire Department located at Fishers Island, Town of Southold, County of Suffolk and State of New York for the purpose of electing two commissioners; one for a five year term and one for a three year term commencing January 1, 2018.
All registered voters of Fishers Island Waste Management District are eligible to vote. Every resident of the District, who is qualified to vote for a Town officer, shall be eligible to hold the office of District Commissioner.
By resolution of the Commissioners, nominations are to be submitted in petition form, signed by twenty-five (25) qualified voters of the District between the hours of 8:00 am – 12:00 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday. Petitions are due by Tuesday, 12:00 pm, November 28, 2017. Petition forms and absentee ballots can be obtained from the Fishers Island Waste Management District office at 2760 Whistler Avenue Fishers Island, NY 06390
