FIWMD Station Attendants Year-round and Seasonal (Summer 2025)
Summary
Fishers Island Waste Management District (FIWMD) is looking for help starting immediately and this summer at the Compost and Transfer Stations. You will perform a range of light and heavy manual tasks in pursuit of our mission to divert ever-increasing materials from the waste stream and build the circular economy. Help us create a more sustainable and efficient waste management operation that other communities will want to emulate. This position can evolve into one with increased responsibilities based on ability and willingness to learn.
Qualifications and Skills
Conscientious and friendly with customers and fellow team members, excellent time management, adaptability, and willingness to take initiative. Ability to maintain daily logs including in a digital format. A driver’s license and machine operation skills are a plus.
Time Commitment
Hours and schedule TBD.
Compensation and Terms
$22 HR to start or higher experience dependent.
Full-benefits for non-seasonal candidates after probationary period.
